The Olympics have always been a bit of an anomaly. Regardless of the colors you rep, every four years despite the discord, we come to a momentary truce. Isn’t it really something, that we’ve collectively agreed to lay down arms for the sake of playing sports?

We can’t talk about the Olympics without talking about the athletes — the people that spend the time in-between each preparing themselves to compete. They understand the gold medal is earned only through perseverance.

Drawing parallels, harmony too, is reached only through a willingness to pursue it every day.

Peace isn’t something that happens laterally — via a top-down step-by-step bureaucratic action. But rather, moved towards in unison.
